At the end of the yagyan, Lord Agni emerged and gave the king some pudding which he needed to share with his three wives. His first two wives got their share but when it came to giving the pudding to his third wife, a bird swooped down, snatched the pudding, and flew away instantly.

A furious battle took place between the armies of Ram and Ravana. Soon, Lakshman and Meghnad were engaged in a tremendous battle and lastly, Meghnad used the deadliest weapon, Shakti, on Lakshman which made him fall into an unconscious state. The medicine was quickly made and administered to the unconscious Lakshmana as he sat up as if from a deep slumber.

After Ravana was killed by Ram, Ram wanted to know whether Bharat wished to rule the kingdom or not. So, he asked Hanuman to disguise himself and inform Bharat about his return.
